Our Story

Guardian Agriculture develops automated eVTOL systems for sustainable farming on a commercial scale. Our mission is to provide every grower access to safe, effective and precise aerial application—empowering farmers to refine their chemical use and grow more with less.

Our Team

In 2017, Guardian’s founders envisioned a world where large-scale eVTOL systems drive profits while making meaningful, positive impacts on our future. Advances across flight dynamics, AI and electric vehicles were ripe to serve a greater purpose. They found their first opportunity in agriculture. By guarding farm fields with less waste and greater care, Guardian’s eVTOL craft will both increase profits and accelerate sustainable practices–at scale.

OUR JOURNEY

Guardian is Founded
2017

Guardian’s vision for eVTOL attracted our original multidisciplinary team of engineers, developers, fabricators and innovators. These inventive minds–combining advances from aviation, robotics and autonomous automotive–developed our first vehicle, Alpha.

Proof of Concept Takes Shape
2017

Our Alpha craft demonstrated our initial concept—a high payload, US-built, fully-electric system capable of doing real work on American farms.

Beta is Launched
2018

Our first true prototype, Beta, had a 50 gallon payload and 7-foot propellers. Though too large for our initial target market, it demonstrated the scalability of the power train and avionics.

Eva Launched
2019

Our second prototype, Eva, was the first to go through field trials. We tested reliability, spray pattern, usability and precision on multiple crop types in multiple locations.

SC1 LAUNCHED AND  FAA CERTIFICATION FLIGHTS
2020

Using learnings from Eva, we built the SC1, our 3rd generation system and first production unit. A step-change in reliability, safety and performance. FAA certification flights took place toward the end of 2020, and we received our first SAC-EC.

FIRST CUSTOMER ACQUIRED
2021

The first commercial orders for our SC1 are placed for 2024 delivery.

NATIONWIDE FAA APROVAL
2022

In March 2023, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Guardian Agriculture to operate its aircraft nationwide, making Guardian the first eVTOL manufacturer to begin commercial operations.

FIRST COMMERCIAL JOBS
2023

Started commercial operations, spraying crops with unparalleled efficiency, sustainability, and safety.
